CBD news and information resources

CBD

If you want to continue learning about CBD, there are a couple of great resources we’re spotlighting. Both of these are legit organizations that focus on the CBD industry, work to educate business owners and consumers, and provide a ton of useful insights into the world of hemp.

Hemp Industry Daily claims they are “the most trusted daily news source, written by professional journalists for the industry.” The site is professional and polished, easy to maneuver, and provides transparency to its Leadership & Editorial Staff.

On this site, there is a section for Hemp News by State (as well as national and federal news). This makes it easy to stay informed with what’s happening in the industry.

One of the most interesting things on this site is its Industry Directory of Products & Services. You can search by category or location and get a list of businesses, services, or organizations in the industry. Some of the directory headers include: Hydroponics & Cultivation Products, Packaging & Supplies, Professional Training & Education, Industry Organizations & Nonprofits, Testing & Lab Services and so much more. It’s a well-kept, exhaustive list and worth visiting.

For all my friends who love data (you know who you are), there’s a Data Charts section. (Here’s the link… this is for you… you know who you are. 😊) Note: this is actually part of the Marijuana Business Daily site, which I somehow happened onto in my research. Ha! Not quite CBD-focused, but definitely interesting.

“Project CBD is a California-based nonprofit dedicated to promoting and publicizing research into the medical uses of cannabidiol (CBD) and other components of the cannabis plant.” This organization provides educational services for physicians, patients, industry professionals, and the general public.

Here’s some of the interesting things about this organization:

  • It supports the physicians and other researchers

  • It conducts training workshops for consumers, health workers, and dispensary staff

  • It maintains a CBD Locator Map to highlight storefronts and delivery services

  • It publishes a free online newsletter

  • It co-produces Cannabis Conversations, an educational video series

  • It refutes the slander that medical marijuana is “a front for stoners.”

Here’s a video from their one of their most recent Cannabis Conversation video series.
